“Tango in the City I” celebrates movement, rhythm, and human connection through a vibrant interplay of abstraction and form. The figures emerge and dissolve within fields of color, embodying the essence of motion rather than depicting it literally. Each brushstroke becomes part of the choreography.

The composition’s geometric planes and luminous palette of blues, magentas, and golds evoke both the stage and the inner world of the dance — a fusion of spontaneity and structure. The figures are suspended between realism and abstraction, their gestures fluid yet defined, suggesting not only physical movement but also the harmony of two souls moving as one.

Each couple moves within its own rhythm, yet they are all connected by the same atmosphere. The central pair becomes the focal point, embodying elegance and confidence, while the surrounding dancers echo their movements like reflections of emotion.

Through this composition, I wanted to evoke the timeless beauty of human connection.

In this painting, I needed to express the strength, dignity, and quiet beauty of indigenous identity. The young girl’s gaze carries both innocence and resilience, reflecting the continuity of tradition through generations. Behind her, the larger, faceless figure stands as a guardian presence, deeply rooted in heritage.

The vibrant palette of reds, greens, oranges, and blues symbolizes the richness of life and the spiritual energy that flows through Andean culture. I used abstraction to dissolve boundaries between figure and background, blending them into a single rhythm of color — as if earth, spirit, and humanity were one.

In "Dancing with Ribbons," I decided to express the fluid harmony between the human form and the rhythm of abstraction. The figure, sculpted in shades of deep blue and green, moves as if dissolving into waves of light and shadow. The coupling ribbons suggest energy and motion, like the invisible currents that connect body and spirit.

The vertical strokes and geometric fragments surrounding the dancer evoke a pulsating environment where structure and freedom coexist. The cool palette reflects introspection and serenity, yet the dynamic composition reveals vitality and transformation.
